Our Story

Sunken City Cider, a young NY cider, it´s located at Gilboa, Schoharie County. In its beautiful location, nestled on the banks of Schoharie Creek and surrounded by picturesque mountain views, it will make its cider and are a cultural hub for music, food and good times in the Northern Catskills.

Water, a vital resource for all humanity, is intrinsically linked to the story of our land, our farm, and our cider. At the Schoharie Reservoir, the same water that sunk a city to give life to another, is the same water that makes our cider and has fed our families for centuries. It is the same water we use to make our ciders and to grow our apples.

Producing traditional dry hard cider from 100% NYS apples, naturally sugar-free and gluten-free!

ARE DOGS ALLOWED?

Yes, leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome at both locations.



ARE YOU FAMILY FRIENDLY?

Yes. While we always have a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere, our target audience is adults over 21.



OTHER THAN CIDER, WHAT BEVERAGES DO YOU HAVE?

We sell NYS produced beer, wine, and signature cocktails using NYS produced spirits as well as N.A. options, see drinks *Cocktails at Gilboa location only



DO YOU SERVE FOOD?

We sell a selection of cheese and meats, and frequently have food trucks on premise. Check out our entertainment schedule for food truck listings. We allow outside food if we are not having an organized event. 



DO YOU NEED A RESERVATION?

No. *For large groups or special events, please reach out to make sure we can accommodate you.

WHAT AT IS YOUR OUTDOOR SPACE LIKE?

Gilboa: Our tasting bar is located under an expansive pavilion with beautiful mountain views. Please enjoy our outdoor space! We are committed to providing an environment that creates lasting enjoyable memories.

Pearl River: “The Tollhouse” is our unique little taproom located in our expansive garden center amongst annual & perennial flower displays. We also have a retail shop located inside our Farm Market which is open for your shopping convenience.
